Gracie

Hey everyone and welcome to my new blog! I'm planning on putting lots of things up on here so make sure you come and check it out frequently ( especially during the holidays). I will talk more about that later  for now lets talk about the purpose of this blog! Last Thursday my family adopted a gorgeous Labradoodle known as Gracie. We've had a dog before but we sadly could not look after it anymore, this made are family very sad, it changed are life a lot and walks were never the same. My mum and dad both got jobs as a teacher so we obviously then could not have a dog as you cannot leave them home alone for long hours. After a while of thinking through my mum decided to stop being a nursery teacher and continue French. This meant she would spend a lot more time with me and she would be less tired. We knew that because my mum now hardly works during the week so we could finally get a dog.
I personally wanted a puppy as I find them really sweet and I wanted to raise them up but my mum and dad both disagreed and thought it would be really hard work. We were then on a hunt for a young dog. We used many sites on the internet one in which we found many adorable dog was Pets At Home. We also looked at Charities as well.
After long months of searching we finally found the perfect dog for all of us. As soon as we saw it everyone fell in love with it and we knew we had to adopt her. She had to find a new home because her owner was an air Hostess and could no longer look after her. Though she had already been moved around a lot. Before she lived with Caroline she lived with Caroline's friend. They had to get red of her because they were getting divorced and so they were short on space.
First of all we went to see Gracie, to see if she was as adorable as the pictures and she was! I remember she loved to sit on peoples feet. She wasn't one of those really  friendly dogs who jumps all over you. Though she was happy to see us there and it was like she knew we would take care of her. We knew that she was the dog for us and we would be getting her as soon as possible.
We had to wait 3 weeks until we could have her, those 3 weeks were properly the longest 3 weeks of my life! When it came to the 11th July we all went into dad's B&W for another long drive though this time we would be coming back with a big fluffy dogie! Caroline gave us her lead, collar, bowl, food, and two little toys. The car journey was very exciting and Gracie loved the window open and her wind in her face!

Every day Gracie is getting better and better and getting to know us really well. She is such a lovely dog who deserves loads of love and cuddles!

This is Gracie's first dog show!

I hope you liked it! If you would like me to do more blog posts on Gracie... for example, What she eats, 10 facts about her, hauls..... then please leave a comment below.
Until next time toodle pip!
